Power Pack #5: Homecoming

Power Pack Episode 5

The Hero of Hyrule.jpg

A young lad goes on a quest through the magic world of Hyrule….wait….this is Power Pack, not Legend of Zelda.  In that case, let us tell you the story of the Power family, now back on Earth, after being kidnapped by Aliens. Their house is destroyed, their mental facilities are in questionable shape, a psychopath is after them…and they have lost their only chair. How is the family able to go on?

Additionally, we say things to each other to make ourselves laugh and prepare ourselves for the inevitable cease and desist from Nintendo!!!!

  1. Hey guys! Loved the podcast. I had another science question regarding Julie’s powers.

So we know that Lightspeed can fly real fast and that she leaves a rainbow trail behind her when she does. Presumably, if she is just standing and NOT using her powers, she does not have the rainbow. She does this because she possess control over velocity……not movement or some other version of power over Cartesian positioning in space. My question comes from the scene where Julie and the rest of the kids are hiding beneath the cliff from the Elf Warrior on his way to save Zelda……Link. Alex is clearly doing his habitual holding of Katie while he does the anti-gravity thing. Jack is spread out in his cloud form to hide the group. But, Julie is just floating there. She doesn’t have her rainbow so she isn’t flying. She isn’t touching Alex so she isn’t covered by his anti-gravity powers. My question is…….can Julie hover in a fixed point in space (not just outerspace) without falling?

Thanks and keep up the awesome work unpacking the Power Pack!

P.S. Please do not frighten us by suddenly declaring that you are removing your costumes. This isn’t a family show, but still…….

  2. NOW I’m caught up on all episodes of the show! Whew!

Really, Jeff? Julie’s the worst kid AND the best kid? That’s ridiculous that one kid could be both. And if it wasn’t, it could never happen again in a million zillion years. What’s that? “Ya mutha’s mustache?” WHY I OUGHTA!!!

The first “Costumes off!” signoff! YAY!
