Take me home…old country roads…to the planet…I am from!!!!

Just This

There is a reason I do not sing, but I cannot remember why? Anywho, the kids are heading home from their space oddity. And is a good thing too. I mean, the Power Parents are worried, Cloak and Dagger are getting all fidgity…..and the Fantastic Four even noticed….I mean, look, they left a note!

Great Note Dude

There is not much action in this comic, but that is ok. Instead, we have some really good character beats and moments.

Doubnle AlexCryingFamily

And a scene where Jack grabs Dagger.

But mostly, this is about families and dads. Which is good, because we got two big daddies bringing you this fantastic Power Pack action.

Sad Eyes

No, not those daddies….I am talking about Jeff and Rick.

And there is also this moment where Alex seems to have forgotten talking to Katie back in issue number 13….

Remember When

  1. What can I say about this issue? Maybe, it has ALL THE FEELS? Weezie pulls out all the stops to go through the pain of being missing, from both the kids’ and the parents’ perspectives. And the incredible relief with the reunion. I’M NOT CRYING DON’T LOOK AT ME YOU’RE A BABY!

Oh Alex, this is just the beginning of his jerkiness kicking into higher gear. I honestly don’t remember if he turns around any time soon. Ah, the joy of turning the corner from juvenile to senile.

Cloak & Dagger were just the worst rescuers ever. Look at page 12. They appear swinging at the aliens, and Dagger throws a dagger THROUGH JULIE! She wasn’t in cloud form when it was thrown, so what the heck, Dagger???

And yet, in that same panel, I find it hilarious to see Cloak swallowing the Snark, and the Snark is upside down and we only see his feet and tail!

Hmm, tackling Dagger. Not that problematic in itself. But Jack says “I got you in my POWER an’ you gotta do what I say!” Oh my. That’s uh that’s a lecture from HR, right there.

Oh, so you guys noticed the panel at the top of page 19 with Dagger? Odd, so did I. Huh. Can’t imagine why. (I’m a bad person.)

Gotta say, lots of great visual/facial acting in this issue again by Jon Bogdanove. Just a hint of cartoony exaggeration to up the emotions and the humor. Love love love.

“Johnny’s note was just as helpful as a flaming 4 in the kitchen.” Jeff ain’t wrong.

    Till next time, Pack-Men!

    1. Yup, there were so many feels in this issue. The following issue has them as well, in a much less heartwarming way.

Alex does seem to have a bit of something stuck in his craw that I am looking forward to him moving past….but you are right, it isn’t anytime soon.

I think that everybody noticed the Dagger panel…really kind of hard to miss it.

Glad you got a kick out of Johnny’s note as well, it was just to the side of useless.

Later buddy, hope you have a great fourth.
